This is the lightest 4 piece rod I've ever used! It is the best all around pack rod on the market! I use this rod with a 20ft sink tip line and it casts great. It also loads well with a WF#5 distance taper. Very smooth with a nymph and indicator. Butt section strong for casting in wind.

Loomis makes a really light graphite called GLX. It is the lightest in the world! This model is an IMX, which used to be the high end model. It was replaced by GL4. That is what you can compare this rod to, the GL4.
