This reel is still one of the best buys for the money. Although not machined, it still is very durable. It is also light, which balances nicely on modern lightweight graphite rods. Orvis service is one of the tops around. You get what you pay for? In this instance you get more. There are weaknesses, but it's tough to quibble over what you get for the money. Definitely recommended.
