This is a great rod for beginners. Just starting out in fly fishing I would recommend this rod to anyone who wants to start fly fishing. First Sage rod I've ever owned, and I still don't see a need to buy another. This rod has made me addicted to fly fishing, and if I ever need to buy another, it WILL be a Sage.
