I'd buy the 8ft 3 in model in a four piece, or the 8 ft 6 in model in the two piece. The two piece rod feels better, but I like the pack ability of the 4 piece model.Great for starting out or as a backup rod, or if your conscience just won't let anyone get away with charging you $600 for a rod.
